See You At ComicCon!

A brief programming note, I will be out tomorrow and Friday for ComicCon in San Diego and will be running posts of yore along with art of yore.

If you're going to be attending ComicCon, I hope to see you at one or two of both of my panels.

First up, I'm going to be moderating the panel "What's Hot in Young Adult Fiction," featuring the wildly awesome authors Andrea Cremer, Amanda Hocking, Tahereh Mafi, Stephanie Perkins, Laini Taylor, and Kiersten White at 10am on Sunday.

And I'm going to be on the panel "Writing for the Middle Grade" at 1:45 on Sunday.

There will be autograph sessions after each panel and books for sale and all the rest. And no, I will not be in costume, unless you consider "mild-mannered author" attire a costume.

Hope to see you there!

ComicCon is one of those things I've "always wanted" to attend, so I'm exceptionally jealous of anyone getting to go.

Enjoy. I hope the panel goes well.

Enjoy ComicCon!

Hope you'll share some of the best moments with those of us who aren't able to be there.

One of my friends attends this on occasion and she usually goes in costume.

Is this an old blog or do they have this more than once a year? Just curious...and I would like to go. Lucky you who live close!

[The word verification is "liesson." Could that be a lesson taught with a lie?]

I used to exhibit my artwork at the ComicCon every year. It was a great experience.

Btw, have you not considered the WonderCon? It's in San Francisco, afer all.

Look up there! Is it a bird? Is it a plane! No! It's MILD-MANNERED AUTHOR!

But what costume do you rip off to reveal the mild-mannered author costume?

'...at one or two or both of my panels.'? Not unless one or two or both of us have the gift of bilocation. Or maybe time travel. Like Hermione Granger. But it IS a COMIC-Con! So anything's possible.

How about posting a pic when it's all over?

I'm still hoping my fairy godmother is going to swoop in with tickets to ComicCon at the last minute. I won't wear a glass slipper, though--my feet have enough problems already.

I'd give my right arm to be able to attend ComicCon, but I don't type so well with my left arm. (Also not sure which Nathan I'd rather run into there - Bransford or Fillion...hmmmm)

So envious, and both panels would be something I'd check out. Please post when you get back on what you experienced.

Hi Nathan, Sorry if you've mentioned this already. Do you know the capacity of the room for your Sunday YA panel at ComicCon? I'm hoping it's one of the bigger rooms but having a hard time finding out from the CC map. Thank you.
