Sorry, sheila. I don’t mean to be mean, as they say. But one woman forgot to have someone sign both places, and I really thought another man was asleep.
“…and I had to research the judges. Damn judges. I get in the booth, and I’m ambushed every time!”
Anything that’s “nonpartisan” on the ballot (I almost wrote ballet) – to update the PUMA acronym – NPMA! I went and looked at some biographical info online, and you can tell from what organizations they belong to where they fall on the political spectrum.
Wanda B. – I’m all mixed up with my google blogger identity at the moment!
I found the absolutely perfect time to vote: 3 PM. I waltzed in there and had to wait all of a minute and a half for the one person in front of me to finish. But they’d had record turnout in the morning and expect it again this evening.
Scott- mean but too true! Since I’m a housewife I do a lot of volunteering and did quite a bit for a Political Parties Tulsa Headquarters in 2004. Won’t say which cause I don’t want to be blasted for my politics. Anyway, I was 36 years old and felt like an infant among all the other volunteers. I think there aren’t enough unemployed people under the age of 70 to volunteer.
I finally quit volunteering because it was too awkward to be 40 years younger than everyone else.
I voted and took tomorrow off so that I can drink as much as I want watching the return. I hope to be dancing in the streets tonight. Journaling like a madwoman too so that I can look back on how nervous/anxious/excited I am.
Voted last week, but I’m so excited to see so many people come out to vote!
While I don’t live in California, I’m anxious to see what happens there…hopefully people’s rights are NOT taken away. There’s been too much forward progress to step backward so far /fingers crossed
Not my election, however you seem to have done something very important this time around. Shall be watching with lots of interest and hope from this side of the Pond :-). BTW, hope you went out and voted too …

Now, Scott, be nice. Kudos to anyone willing to work at a polling place. And extra kudos if they are polite and friendly.

Note to SF residents: the “I Voted” sticker will *not* protect you for Prop-related maulings at the Farmer’s Market today.

I’ve never been happier to be an Oregonian! I voted by mail almost two weeks ago, and have been smugly watching the results ever since.

Indeed we would if we could. We outsiders watch in expectation. I’m following here in Germany via the BBC – other good live source suggestions?

Good thing, too, because the lines were short then and really long today in my area.

Been there, voted that – first thing this morning.
Glad to see everyone taking an interest in the process!
And posting while drinking strawberry margaritas and watching the results should probably be outlawed…
